Who Is Eligible To Receive Evusheld Injections?
Evusheld Therapy is available for adults and adolescents 12 years and older who meet specific criteria:
- Are not currently infected with COVID-19
- Who cannot receive the COVID-19 vaccine due to severe allergic reactions to vaccine components
- Are taking immunosuppressive medications for a medical condition and cannot generate an adequate immune response even after receiving all doses of the COVID-19 vaccine
- Who are immunocompromised or have been diagnosed with an immunodeficiency (genetic conditions or positive HIV status)
- Are in treatment for a solid tumor or other cancer therapies

Who can have EVUSHELD?
EVUSHELD Therapy is available for adults and adolescents 12 years and older who:

What are the side effects of treatment?
The most common side effects of treatment include:
- Allergic reactions
- Pain, soreness, inflammation, infection, and/or bruising at the injection site
Serious side effects may occur with individuals with cardiovascular disease. A licensed medical provider can determine if the treatment is safe based on your medical history.
What should you tell your health care provider?
Before seeking EVUSHELD Treatment, it’s important to inform your healthcare provider if you:
- Have any allergies, especially allergies to previous vaccines
- Have low numbers of blood platelets (which help blood clotting), a bleeding disorder, or are taking anticoagulants (to prevent blood clots)
- Have had a heart attack or stroke, have other heart problems, or are at high risk of cardiac events
- Are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant
- Are breastfeeding a child
- Have a serious illness
- Are taking prescription or over-the-counter medications
- Are taking vitamins or herbal products
What if I have received a COVID-19 vaccine?
Treatment may reduce the immune response your body produces to the COVID-19 vaccine. As such, you should wait at least 2 weeks to receive an EVUSHELD injection after getting a COVID-19 vaccine.
